Hello, I’m Erika.

Welcome to my little corner of the world. Carved from the chaos, a peaceful place to rest.

An artist, a dreamer, and a believer that everyone needs a little splash of creativity in their lives

The Story

Always rooted in a passion for sharing what I loved with others

I’ve been drawn to creativity and nature for a long time, ever since I started working in the garden with my mom and spending creative afternoons with my grandmothers (Both are talented artists too)

For a while, I worked to be a public education teacher. Watching the moment understanding arrived in someone's eyes, in the way their whole body shifted. I'll always love that part.

But the fighting wore me down. The bureaucracy. The distance between what education could be and what it often had to be. I kept showing up, but somewhere along the way, I stopped feeling free.

Then a few things happened.

I taught my sister-in-law how to release stress through watercolor. I watched her shoulders drop.

I handed my best friend her wedding suite (the one I'd made just for her) and saw her light up in a way that had nothing to do with checking a box.

And I realized: this is where the aha moments were. Not gone. Just waiting somewhere quieter.

We are only given so many moments on this earth.

We need to collect the good ones, honor the bad ones, and make every one count.

Why Larkspur & Lore?

Larkspur because the flower means joy, to have an open heart and lightness of spirit.

The purple larkspur color I use stands for new beginngings.

Lore because I’ve always been obsessed with stories and I think we all deserve to have our stories captured and told beautifully.

Together, they stand for capturing our stories and the joy that comes with the everyday life.

A bit more about me

Favorite season:

Autumn, I love the cozy, quiet feelings it gives. Strangely, I always connect autumn with a time of reset.

Always on my desk:

My iPad, my journal, pens, and a notebook where I scribble down all my thoughts

I’m happiest when:

I can create without pause, or I’m deep in nature on a hike with my husband.

Go-to creative comfort:

Taking a class from one of my favorite creators

Something that always makes me smile:

Morning cuddles with my dog Loula

Whether you’re a beginner, a long-lost creative, a gift-giver, or just searching for a spark, there’s a place for you here.

So let’s get started.
